Dinner

Lazy Days require Lazy meals. Tonight we are having chicken Parmesan and I found a 15 min recipe! That means I can sit down and continue watching movies on my husbands Ipod. So far I've watch Night at the Museum which I was expecting to be to corny for my taste but I was wrong it was great.

The Pill the part I hated about marriage

Everyone assumes that the pill will work for everyone. You just get on, have as much sex as you want enjoy not getting pregnant and life is grand. My experience was much different and today I'm ready to talk about it. In high school I got on Yasmin to clear up my acne I loved it my skin was great, my cycles were regular and I felt fine. Except just recently I am able to recognize why I had a few nervous break downs... it's because I wasn't in control of my hormones my medication was doing it for me.

Now after being married for almost a year and have been threw three different kinds of birth control for various reasons including, not being in control of my emotions, bleeding threw and a general disstisfaction. I realized one day that I wasn't the woman my husband had married, that was the day I threw out the package of 31 pills and now after three months I feel like I am starting to be myself again.

This last week I was at a bridal shower and one of the brides commented vaguely of the emotional rollorcoster she has been since starting the pill. Women of the world this medication is a great wonder and works! But not for everyone there are many forms of contraceptives and many kinds of medication available. If your form of birth control you are using is not working for you talk with your husband, doctor, and close friends. Chances are you will find many that are have found help. You deserve it!

Oh the joys of acting like your five again, it seems that when you get married you don't grow up at all but revert back to being little kids again. Why, it's fun. My handsome husband helps me out with this one, learning to be a kid again. Last week on his day off I splet in with him, skipped class and we spent our morning playing with legos!

I strongly dislike cellphone comapnies

Did you know that there are not any cellphone plans out there with over 500 min, and text messaging for two phones under $100 dollars. So us young newly married folks are screwed. I am NOT a fan of AT&T. But thank goodness for family plans and parents that let you still split a bill with you!

An ode to the man of my life

So to all the men out there that are married, engaged or soon to be or that one day will be good job! Good Job to have the courage to ask to bring up the subject and opening your hearts to the women of your life. Last year this day we had what we now call "Lucas Day". It was a day of hiking, canoeing and talking about getting married. When I first heard so do you see us getting married I started to hyperventilate. I'm not kidding at all I had to breath and then say HECK YES! And this the awesome team of Garcia was created (AKA Lucas and Sarah). So again thanks for having the courage to bring up such a big subject! And kudos to all the men out there that took the big step, thank you.

My wedding

In planning my wedding we had a few goals in mind first to have a unique reception place located central for all of our traveling guest and something that screamed us! We found the perfect location at the Salt Lake City County Building The price was only $500 for the entire building all night and if there is not an event the night before the staff invites you to come early and set up!

We chose Aggie blue and champagne for our colors with hints of tan, black and light blues. With the red in the wall color and the iron stairwells our colors blended well. Arranged our food table became the main center piece of our reception. With chocolate fountains at three of the four ends and drink were located at two smaller tables on each hall.

The backdrop behind us was easy to make and put up. We took our 40% off an item to Jo-anns and bout ten yards. Ultimatum I wanted to hang some similar outside with our initials on it but with the sun setting fast in the winter no one would see it.

Yummy Sunday Dinners

Being on a tight budget and with a desire to learn to cook new foods, I feel like it's hard to try new things because I don't want to spend a lot on new ingredients. In going to the farmers market I found an expensive way to try new foods. With three dollars in my pocket I came back with a zesty melon, patty pan squash and fresh basil. With the patty pan squash I found a recipe on cooks.com, it was easy, simple and so good to eat! With our basil we made basil chicken, this was an epic recipec for our taste buds I highly recommend for dinner tonight!
