To grandmothers house we go!

This next week until Christmas Mason and I are hanging out at Grandma's house!
We sadly left Lucas in Logan and Mason misses him he told me.
Today I went and swam laps oh man did it feel good! I am ready to have my old swimmer body again!
We worked on Lucas special Christmas present and he has yet to figure it out at we are excited to give it to him. Lucas loves finding out what his gifts are last Christmas he figured out all his presents this year he has three he has yet to figure out. I've done much better then last year. We are a bad match when it comes to giving presents. I love telling people and sharing with others what I am giving and Lucas loves to find out what his presents are.

How greatful I am for the Gospel

My appreciation for the  gospel of Jesus Christ and the true doctrine taught in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Being home with Mason our new friend has become Net-flicks we have been watching Ruby, John and Kate and other shows. In watching these reality shows I constantly see questions arise that can not be answered or our left unanswered. It makes me want to be the crazy fan that sends fan mail with a letter answering there questions. Who knows maybe tommarow I'll do something crazy.

So easily there questions of where passed on family members have gone and if they will see them again. So many churches and religions will give you different answers and it is easily confusing and frustrating.  What I love about the beliefs of the LDS church is after you learn or any time you have questions we are encouraged to pray and ask God.

I invite you if you have questions that have not been answered to visit the LDS website.

With the new addition to our family (Mason) I am constantly grateful that we can answer his questions of where we came from? Why we are here on this earth? Where are we going after this life?

My testimony

I know that Jesus Christ lives and that he loves us, He is our Savior and because of his love and sacrifice I will be able to  live with my family forever. I know that we can receive answers for all of our questions with study and fervent prayer to our Heavenly Father. I have received many answers that has given me direction and guidance in my life. I am happy, truly happy because I have fallowed the example of my Savior Jesus Christ. My desire is that you will receive answers  to your questions and feel the happiness that I have in my life. So ask and look for answers here.

Things I want to remember for later babies

Having a baby is hard and amazing. During month nine with my huge tummy and unable to get out of bed without Senuor Guapo helping me roll out, I would ask Lucas it's worth it right? Yes yes it is. These are things I want to remember for children down the road and I hope these reminders will help others.

#1 It's worth it!
Doctor Olsen told me to look down and then my eyes beheld the most glorious sight my son. That moment is one I will never forget, meeting my son for the first time.

#2 Epidurals are wonderful
I honestly felt guilty for a little bit that I was taking the easy route. Well it still wasn't easy but so much more bearable. Good for those women that give birth without any pain medication but I am and will never be one of those women. If your like me when the nurse asks if you would like on you get it and get it early. I could have gone longer dealing with the pain but I wanted my moneys worth. So DON'T FEEL GUILTY!!

#3 Transition Phase
Yep no one told me about this! When you are transitioning into 9-10cm dilated your body reacts by shaking. It scared me I thought something was wrong and it was hard to clam down. Lucas told me to pretend like I was in a vibrating bed, it mostly made me laugh and calmed me down. But no one told me and it scared me, so just pretend your in a vibrating bed or something funny to help you calm down.

#4 Nurses are angles
Many people have told me how there nurses are angles, yes yes they are. I kept on thanking them and I hope they understand how much I needed them and loved them! Dee you told me to press that wonderful pain button and helped me get comfortable and I love you for it!

#5 Recovery
Me and my mom went to one store yesterday, I knew exactly were we were going to go parked close went in and out and I was ready for a nap afterward. Your body is tried get in bed and don't get out.

#6 Hosptials are safe
Some women have there babies at home I will never never be one of those women. When in labor I started to have a fever and was put on antibiotics and then Mason needed  immediate medical attention. The d reoctors and nurses were heaven sent. Having your baby at home would be wonderful to be at home in your own bed, but I will always have my babies in the hostpital and I recommend that to all GO TO THE HOSPITAL.

#7 MOM'S are amazing
They come to your house and make yummy taco soup

 and yummy pot roast
 and make you yummy cookies

Yep mom's are the best and make the best grandma's

Blessings

Today we took Mason to his first doctors appointment. He is still the same weight as when he left the hospital.. I was a proud mama. His bilirubin levels were low, so no jaundice. We also found out that my placenta was heavily infected with infection. Which means Mason was swimming in bacteria and infection and a big slap of bacteria was brewing in my body.

Luckily during labor I started to have a fever and was but on antibiotics. The hospital recently (the policy was 24 or 48 hours new) put into policy that if you re but on antibiotics while in labor your baby automatically goes to the NICU for 48 hours. We had no idea that my placenta was heavily infected until today when the labs came back.

We were so lucky that my body started running a fever and put Mason right into the NICU so they could treat his infection also. Because they but him right in the NICU they were able to immediately find out his needs and meet them. Doctor Horkely helped us understand how blessed we were that everything was caught very early.

We know that Heavenly Father was and is watching out for us. We know that our Lord loves us and we know that we are his children. It has been amazing witnessing how Heavenly Father watches out for his children it is a testimony to me and I am eternally grateful that he has kept our family healthy safe and sound.

We love you all but if you are sick stay away from our home.
We found out today that if he starts having a fever he will go back to the hospital. We will not have this and thank you for helping our new son stay healthy and out of the hospital.

JoAnns our love hate relationship

With in minutes all 100 pairs of scissors were given away and with in 10 min we were number 80 to have our fabric cut. Luckily we were ahead of these cute ladies buying 90 yards of fabric to make blankets and donate to CAPSA. They were sweet one of the ladies had to go home so Lucas watched there material and saved there spot in line so the daughter could take her mother home.

Many women abandoned there carts of there were other crazy ladies that brought the fort with them. No joke one women brought her own carts and had three 4 ft tall piles of fabric and she was buying every single yard!

We saved $119 which was crazy because I would have never paid that much in the first place. My mom told me that a few years back they sold there flannel for get this 50 cents a yard! This year it was $1.30. But if it ever goes down to $.50 a yard I will be buying 50 plus yards of fabric.

This year we came away with almost 20 yards.

Ward Service Project Update!

New information below

Oh the weather outside is frightful but this service project will be so delightful! When  Rebbecca told me some of the houses would need framing when we come I cringed. That would be hard to doing such a service in the snow. We went to look out the houses and those four walls and roofs were looking pretty nice!

Here are the homes that we will be helping build! They build in groups of seven and we will be helping two different groups with there homes. The people we will we working with these are there homes every week they are required to put in 35 hours. Which when you think about it would be hard, try finding 35 extra hours a week in our schedule's now! Many of these families like Rebbecca are going back to school, working and have families.

So to have all of us come and help  them for a day is a relief! They need man power

SPECIAL NOTICES
Everyone please remember that we are building there homes that we need to build them how we would want our homes built no oh this looks good enough attitude. Come with an attitude to learn a new skill! The different groups will be putting rock up on the outside of homes and or inside framing!

Group #1 Rebbecca's group

Everyone is underneath the plastic putting up the rock.

Group #2 Framing
This was the only house withouts its roof on but in two weeks from today it will look different, because they are consistently working on the homes.

A finished Product

Ward Service Project

What a miracle it was to find this project helping families build there homes! Habitual for Humanity builds homes all over the world and even here in cache valley. We will be helping Rebbecca Farnsworth and other families like her build there low income housing home. Personally I have loved getting to know Rebbecca her faith is contagious and her will is strong. Her family is grateful for our wards willingness to serve.

Here is Rebbecca's story

Rebbecca is only 34 years old, but after her husband suffered a
massive heart attack two years ago she was left a widow with a child
as young as 13 months and a family to care for. Her five children now
range in age from 3 to 13 years, and along with attending USU full
time she spends a minimum 35 hours a week working on building her
home. Rebbecca has a strong testimony of the Savior. In losing her
husband she compares herself to a tree. When he died she felt like
half of this tree had died. She relied on her husband for so many
things and over the years she has learned to fill out her tree,
becoming the handyman her husband was, while standing as a strong
daughter of God. She has not done it alone, and is constantly amazed
at the Lord’s hand in all things. She knows that her Savior lives and is
amazed at his endless love for her.

On Saturday, December 4 we will be helping Rebbecca and
others piece their lives back together after tragedy by helping them
to build their homes. Rebbecca is receiving help to build a new home
for her family through Habitat for Humanity. Seven homes are
currently being built, and no one family can move into a home until
all seven are fully completed. Please plan to offer your helping hands
on December 4 so that Rebbecca and others may come closer to
moving into these new homes that they are in such need of.

Nesting

Am I nesting is the question and someone offered to come help me clean if I was. I wanted to lie and say yes just because who gets offers to have someone help clean with you. I doubt its nesting but just my organizational self coming out and wanting to come home to a clean home after this baby comes.

I've been to Walmart three times this week to buy Rubbermaid containers. I have organized under the stairs, my laundry area, bathroom drawers and my craft areas. Tomorrow I will clean the fridge, mop the floors and continue to vacuum my sealing of cobwebs (they are everywhere).

It feels nice to have an extra clean house the only key is keeping it that way and not allowing my laziness to kick in wish me luck!

Tillamoock Cheese how I wish I could afford you... today I did!

A college roommate of mine introduced me to a love of yummy cheese and when I could afford it Tillamook is what I would buy. Normally these blocks of 2lbs cost $9.99. This last week they have been on sale at Macey's for 4.99 and with my wonderful PYP website I found a dollar off coupon. So now I can enjoy my ten dollar block of cheese for 4 dollars!

We bought the montery jack so we could shred it and freeze it in small plastics bags for pizza, lasagna, pasta sauces and so forth.

The sale is on until Tuesday a midnight! Enjoy

How Real Men Do Dishes

Lucas started is new job on Monday and we love it! It has continually been a great blessing in our life. We were offered another job were he would be making almost double of what he is making know but it would require him to work many Sundays, be away from home 3 weeks at a time. We decided to take the pay cut and we are so happy! Know he is home more and will be close when it's delivery time which is a relief to me.

His first day on the drill sight they were fitted with safety gear. The other day Lucas was doing the dishes and I turn around and he's wearing his safety gear. Tully is an example of how real men do dishes! Love ya.

Seguall Book Sisterhood Celebration

 How Willden's/Garcia's Win Free things

What a fun weekend! My mom and sisters went to celebrating sisterhood at Seagull Book in American Fork.We had to fight to get on the numbers and finally after an hour two of the three of us had won prizes! I won a doggy puppet that sings. It is the funniest thing and we love it. Laura won a thanksgiving apron thanks to me! It was my number that they called but I made Laura go up and take the prize for me.

Yes the picture on the right is one of my mom sitting on the ground doing bills while she waits for her number to be called. Sadly this was not a lucky number for her.
