To grandmothers house we go!

This next week until Christmas Mason and I are hanging out at Grandma's house!
We sadly left Lucas in Logan and Mason misses him he told me.
Today I went and swam laps oh man did it feel good! I am ready to have my old swimmer body again!
We worked on Lucas special Christmas present and he has yet to figure it out at we are excited to give it to him. Lucas loves finding out what his gifts are last Christmas he figured out all his presents this year he has three he has yet to figure out. I've done much better then last year. We are a bad match when it comes to giving presents. I love telling people and sharing with others what I am giving and Lucas loves to find out what his presents are.

How greatful I am for the Gospel

My appreciation for the  gospel of Jesus Christ and the true doctrine taught in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Being home with Mason our new friend has become Net-flicks we have been watching Ruby, John and Kate and other shows. In watching these reality shows I constantly see questions arise that can not be answered or our left unanswered. It makes me want to be the crazy fan that sends fan mail with a letter answering there questions. Who knows maybe tommarow I'll do something crazy.

So easily there questions of where passed on family members have gone and if they will see them again. So many churches and religions will give you different answers and it is easily confusing and frustrating.  What I love about the beliefs of the LDS church is after you learn or any time you have questions we are encouraged to pray and ask God.

I invite you if you have questions that have not been answered to visit the LDS website.

With the new addition to our family (Mason) I am constantly grateful that we can answer his questions of where we came from? Why we are here on this earth? Where are we going after this life?

My testimony

I know that Jesus Christ lives and that he loves us, He is our Savior and because of his love and sacrifice I will be able to  live with my family forever. I know that we can receive answers for all of our questions with study and fervent prayer to our Heavenly Father. I have received many answers that has given me direction and guidance in my life. I am happy, truly happy because I have fallowed the example of my Savior Jesus Christ. My desire is that you will receive answers  to your questions and feel the happiness that I have in my life. So ask and look for answers here.

Things I want to remember for later babies

Having a baby is hard and amazing. During month nine with my huge tummy and unable to get out of bed without Senuor Guapo helping me roll out, I would ask Lucas it's worth it right? Yes yes it is. These are things I want to remember for children down the road and I hope these reminders will help others.

#1 It's worth it!
Doctor Olsen told me to look down and then my eyes beheld the most glorious sight my son. That moment is one I will never forget, meeting my son for the first time.

#2 Epidurals are wonderful
I honestly felt guilty for a little bit that I was taking the easy route. Well it still wasn't easy but so much more bearable. Good for those women that give birth without any pain medication but I am and will never be one of those women. If your like me when the nurse asks if you would like on you get it and get it early. I could have gone longer dealing with the pain but I wanted my moneys worth. So DON'T FEEL GUILTY!!

#3 Transition Phase
Yep no one told me about this! When you are transitioning into 9-10cm dilated your body reacts by shaking. It scared me I thought something was wrong and it was hard to clam down. Lucas told me to pretend like I was in a vibrating bed, it mostly made me laugh and calmed me down. But no one told me and it scared me, so just pretend your in a vibrating bed or something funny to help you calm down.

#4 Nurses are angles
Many people have told me how there nurses are angles, yes yes they are. I kept on thanking them and I hope they understand how much I needed them and loved them! Dee you told me to press that wonderful pain button and helped me get comfortable and I love you for it!

#5 Recovery
Me and my mom went to one store yesterday, I knew exactly were we were going to go parked close went in and out and I was ready for a nap afterward. Your body is tried get in bed and don't get out.

#6 Hosptials are safe
Some women have there babies at home I will never never be one of those women. When in labor I started to have a fever and was put on antibiotics and then Mason needed  immediate medical attention. The d reoctors and nurses were heaven sent. Having your baby at home would be wonderful to be at home in your own bed, but I will always have my babies in the hostpital and I recommend that to all GO TO THE HOSPITAL.

#7 MOM'S are amazing
They come to your house and make yummy taco soup

 and yummy pot roast
 and make you yummy cookies

Yep mom's are the best and make the best grandma's

Blessings

Today we took Mason to his first doctors appointment. He is still the same weight as when he left the hospital.. I was a proud mama. His bilirubin levels were low, so no jaundice. We also found out that my placenta was heavily infected with infection. Which means Mason was swimming in bacteria and infection and a big slap of bacteria was brewing in my body.

Luckily during labor I started to have a fever and was but on antibiotics. The hospital recently (the policy was 24 or 48 hours new) put into policy that if you re but on antibiotics while in labor your baby automatically goes to the NICU for 48 hours. We had no idea that my placenta was heavily infected until today when the labs came back.

We were so lucky that my body started running a fever and put Mason right into the NICU so they could treat his infection also. Because they but him right in the NICU they were able to immediately find out his needs and meet them. Doctor Horkely helped us understand how blessed we were that everything was caught very early.

We know that Heavenly Father was and is watching out for us. We know that our Lord loves us and we know that we are his children. It has been amazing witnessing how Heavenly Father watches out for his children it is a testimony to me and I am eternally grateful that he has kept our family healthy safe and sound.

We love you all but if you are sick stay away from our home.
We found out today that if he starts having a fever he will go back to the hospital. We will not have this and thank you for helping our new son stay healthy and out of the hospital.

Cake Time

So we got Netflix yesterday and Lucas downloaded Cake Boss for me. I've watched two seasons so far. classI was inspired. I need more practice and still need to take my take decorating. But I love making them I improve every time.
